Training and induction of staff for cleaning services at AEDC's Facilities
As part of its commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and conducive working environment across its facilities, AEDC recently organized a comprehensive training and induction program for newly engaged cleaning service personnel. The exercise was designed to equip the staff with the knowledge, skills, and professional standards required to effectively discharge their duties while upholding the organization's health, safety, and environmental policies.

The training session brought together cleaning service staff from various AEDC facilities and focused on key areas such as workplace hygiene, proper handling and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals, waste management procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and adherence to safety regulations. Participants were also introduced to AEDC's operational culture, code of conduct, and expectations regarding professionalism, punctuality, and customer service.

Speaking during the induction, management representatives emphasized the critical role that cleaning personnel play in ensuring a healthy and productive work environment for employees, customers, and visitors. They noted that cleanliness is a vital component of workplace efficiency, public perception, and employee well-being, making the contribution of the cleaning workforce indispensable to the organization's success.

The training also included practical demonstrations and hands-on sessions aimed at enhancing staff competence in carrying out cleaning tasks efficiently and safely. The participants were guided on best practices for maintaining offices, operational areas, restrooms, and other facility spaces while ensuring compliance with established quality and safety standards.

Furthermore, the program highlighted the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and continuous improvement in service delivery. Staff members were encouraged to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism while carrying out their responsibilities and interacting with employees and visitors.

At the end of the training, participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and practical skills that will enable them to perform their duties more effectively. The induction exercise marks another step in AEDC's ongoing efforts to strengthen facility management standards and ensure that all support service personnel are adequately prepared to contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment across its facilities.

Through initiatives such as this, AEDC continues to demonstrate its commitment to operational excellence, workplace safety, and the continuous development of personnel responsible for supporting its day-to-day operations.
